Scientists In on Global Warming Sham?

Hustle and Flow

The leading global warming skeptic in Congress says he will ask for an investigation into allegations that some scientists have purposely overstated the data supporting the theory of man-made climate change.

Oklahoma Republican Senator James Inhofe is referring to information discovered by computer hackers who reportedly broke into a server at a well-respected climate change research center in Britain. One of the e-mails found and posted from center director Phil Jones refers to a technique to, "hide the decline" in recent global temperatures.

Jones wrote that in compiling new data he had used what he called the "trick" of adding in temperatures from different time periods to "hide the decline."

Climate change skeptics argue data indicates global temperatures stopped increasing as far back as 1960. Jones says the comment was taken out of context. Inhofe points to all that to bolster his suspicion that the United Nations and its climate change panel, "cooked the science to make this thing look as if the science was settled, when all the time... we knew it was not."

From My Buddy Eric J . . .

A profound short little paragraph that says it all:

"You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is about the end of any nation. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it." ~ Dr. Adrian Rogers, 1931

Body Transformation

Im going to lose some weight . . . I havent been too worried about it, however as I get older, I can certainly see how much more difficult it is to shed those pounds that seemed to melt away when I was younger . . . I am contemplating posting some transformation pics, but am afraid of the ridicule my now fat-ass will be submitted to . . .

Today was kind of a half day (I got off work at approx 930ish) . . . but it was an eye-opener. First, Oprah, she is an insult to anyone claiming to be a clear-thinker . . . her topic was on “black chicks hair”, and her guest was Chris Rock . . . now I like Chris Rock, so after a couple minutes of palm-kissing the queen, I had to turn it off. Then I watched Househusbands of Hollywood . . . anyway, cant believe these “husbands” are married to chicks. Then I put it on Comedy Central, and that fat funny dip-shit character, Patton Oswald was doing stand-up . . . I thought, great, now I’m getting my money back for this $150 per month satellite bill . . . he was quasi-funny, then he got political . . . he went on about how 10 years ago no one would believe our progress, then he began to relate other occurrences . . . after his explanation of Bush’s retard-ness and Barack’s “coolness”, I had to retreat, vomit in my own mouth, swallow it, and save it for someone later . . .
Now, I have good buddies that don’t balance on the same beam as I do, but they think clearly and we have occasional dialogue about current affairs . . . am I wrong? Is Obama NOT an idiot??? T.Ed? Paul? Someone? Help?

Really?

So Michelle Obama mentioned how traveling to Copenhagen (and Europe) was a hassle, inconvenient and a sacrifice - for her family, but necessary, and they did it for the "children"(???)(and apparently us) . . . thanks a bunch . . .

Next time you want to "sacrifice" and go on a trip to Europe via Air Force One (and MY tax dollars), let me know, I know a handful of more appreciative people that would certainly make a "sacrifice" like that. You are a disgrace . . . when is Michael Steele gonna run and get this country on track . . . I though Barack was a Schlameel, but she . . . dont think you woulda ever heard Laura Bush complain about anything, let alone wasting time trying to get the Olympics in her home town while trotting around Europa. But of course, everything Michelle does is above the fray . . . "look, shes wearing a shirt that cost $10 . . . BOW!" No one cares when Bush's house consumes a 20th the electricity (imbecile) Al Gores house does . . . AND THATS HIS SOAP BOX!!!!??? We ARE this stupid. Double-Standard-o-Rama! Glenn Beck is an idiot, but Keith Olbermann is a thinker???? Heh?

Gun Play

Major Surgery

Had my schnauz checked today . . . I seem to be collecting these sweet-arse old-man mole-dot-spot things. They're totally awesome, drawing attention to my already "petite" nose. They took a biopsy, so I had to undergo a major surgical procedure . . .

And You Thought Michael Vick was BAD???

Amber MADE me give our precious Koop-the-Poop (partial home protector and Fantasy Football Mascot Mogul) a haircut . . . well, apparently when your hair is as coarse as twine, clippers won't work with a guard . . . so I "no-guarded" it. That poor, poor animal. Now he just hangs around underneath the dining room table, wallowing in his thick and embarrassing shame.

Who's Watching the Government?

If Obama is going to tell corporate executives how much they can earn, then cap it if it reaches a certain limit, and/or eliminate positions if they or their company is unsuccessful (in the opinion of the President) - then why don't we offer the same criteria to the government? Why don't we cap and/or eliminate government officials when they reach unsatisfactory performance? Barack, I believe as a voter, I'd have you down to minimum wage . . .

Well, Miss . . . I mean "Mr" Perez . . .

Did this world news article really say, "'God was testing my faith,' says Miss California after Perez Hilton calls her a 'dumb bitch' in gay marriage row" - this is the headline for an article published on April 21st on the website http://www.dailymail.co.uk. The headline isn't the problem, or that she was called a "dumb bitch" . . . its who called her that! Apparently Perez Hilton - a ridiculous human - was the one offering the label. Why is he/she given the credit to be in a headline of ANY sort? Sad when someone reads that, they may actually think someone with an ounce of credentials penned that thought . . . think again.

Nine Terror Questions

Any human being with a functioning conscience or a decent heart loathes torture. Its exercise has been a blight on humanity. With this in mind, those who oppose what the Bush administration did to some terror suspects may be justified. But in order to ascertain whether they are, they need to respond to some questions:

1. Given how much you rightly hate torture, why did you oppose the removal of Saddam Hussein, whose prisons engaged in far more hideous tortures, on thousands of times more people, than America did -- all of whom, moreover, were individuals and families who either did nothing or simply opposed tyranny? One assumes, furthermore, that all those Iraqi innocents Saddam had put into shredding machines or whose tongues were cut out and other hideous tortures would have begged to be waterboarded.

2. Are all forms of painful pressure equally morally objectionable? In other words, are you willing to acknowledge that there are gradations of torture as, for example, there are gradations of burns, with a third-degree burn considerably more injurious and painful than a first-degree burn? Or is all painful treatment to be considered torture? Just as you, correctly, ask proponents of waterboarding where they draw their line, you, too, must explain where you draw your line.

3. Is any maltreatment of anyone at any time -- even a high-level terrorist with knowledge that would likely save innocents’ lives -- wrong? If there is no question about the identity of a terror suspect , and he can provide information on al-Qaida -- for the sake of clarity, let us imagine that Osama Bin Laden himself were captured -- could America do any form of enhanced interrogation involving pain and/or deprivation to him that you would consider moral and therefore support?

4. If lawyers will be prosecuted for giving legal advice to an administration that you consider immoral and illegal, do you concede that this might inhibit lawyers in the future from giving unpopular but sincerely argued advice to the government in any sensitive area? They will, after all, know that if the next administration disapproves of their work, they will be vilified by the media and prosecuted by the government.

5. Presumably you would acknowledge that the release of the classified reports on the handling of high-level, post-Sept. 11 terror suspects would inflame passions in many parts of the Muslim world. If innocents were murdered because nonviolent cartoons of Muhammad were published in a Danish newspaper, presumably far more innocents will be tortured and murdered with the release of these reports and photos. Do you accept any moral responsibility for any ensuing violence against American and other civilians?

6. Many members of the intelligence community now feel betrayed and believe that the intelligence community will be weakened in their ability to fight the most vicious organized groups in the world. As reported in the Washington Post, former intelligence officer “(Mark) Lowenthal said that fear has paralyzed agents on the ground. Apparently, many of those in the know are certain that life-saving information was gleaned from high level terror suspects who were waterboarded. As Mike Scheuer, former head of the CIA unit in charge of tracking Osama bin Laden, said, ”We were very certain that the interrogation procedures procured information that was worth having.” If, then, the intelligence community has been adversely affected, do you believe it can still do the work necessary to protect tens, perhaps hundreds, of thousands of people from death and maiming?

7. Will you seek to prosecute members of Congress such as House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., who were made aware of the waterboarding of high-level suspects and voiced no objections?

8. Would you agree to releasing the photos of the treatment of Islamic terrorists only if accompanied by photos of what their terror has done to thousands of innocent people around the world? Would you agree to photos -- or at least photo re-enactments -- of, let us say, Iraqi children whose faces were torn off with piano wire by Islamists in Iraq? If not, why not? Isn’t context of some significance here?

9. You say that America’s treatment of terror suspects will cause terrorists to treat their captives, especially Americans, more cruelly. On what grounds do you assert this? Did America’s far more moral treatment of Japanese prisoners than Japan’s treatment of American prisoners in World War II have any impact on how the Japanese treated American and other prisoners of war? Do you think that evil people care how morally pure America is?

If you do not address these questions, it would appear that you care less about morality and torture than about vengeance against the Bush administration

North Dakota does NOT Equal New Olreans

A good friend emailed me an article chronicling the devastation occurring in North Dakota. Similar to when the earth's devices adversely affect most parts of our wonderful country, these people are doing what they need to do . . . withOUT the finger-pointing.

Unlike many in the Katrina catastrophe, these people don't seem to be begging for financial aid, and I'm assuming Obama isn't going to offer up $2,000 gift cards like Bush did for the "victims" of Katrina. I suppose Bush HAD to do that, since Katrina WAS HIS FAULT(???). But really, I don't understand why Obama isn't giving dough to the residents of North Dakota? I mean, it is most certainly because of his position on global warming that the ice melted, or didn't, or the tears of the god's increased raising the Red River levels, (or whatever) thus annihilating much of the region.

Another glaring example of how people operate in a conservative vs liberal mindset. The more liberal area immediately forced blame and required a bail-out, AFTER sufficient warning (Katrina). Conversely, the more conservative area did what it had to do, and helped others (North Dakota) . . . funny, all without a spotlight. But really, who gives a sh*t about people in North Dakota . . . as long as they keep their mouths shut, live sufficiently, and aren't a burden to the rest of us - why care?

Keep on NoDak - that's what makes you so appealing, and probably why you'll be one of the last states messed with once the regime really begins the steamroll take-over we call Obama's first term.

By The Way . . .

. . . here's your daily verse - I like this one:

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.

Psalm 91:1 (NIV)

(go to www.christnotes.com for a ton of these, and a daily feed)

Obama - more of the same . . .

Two days after criticizing his predecessor for issuing guidelines on how to put legislation into practice, President Barack Obama issued such a directive himself.

Out of public view Wednesday, Obama signed a $410 billion spending bill that includes billions for items known as earmarks, the targeted spending that lawmakers direct to projects in their districts. Obama promised during the presidential campaign to curb such spending.

. . . I'm not gonna paste the whole thing - y'all get the picture, or you will . . . by the way, when is "Barack" and "Obama" gonna get on board with the red-squiggly-line people at the World Wide Center for Guud Spellers? I mean, after all the hysteria, you'd think that programs like Microsoft Word and the like would automatically spell those special words correctly for us, and add certain things like the tilde when you type "cafe'" . . . it would go like this: you'd type presadint barak husayne obamma, and the automatic correction would promptly fix your mistake and change it to "King of the Universe, Director of Salvation & CFO of Your Income, Almost Allah Barack Hussein Obama" . . . is that too much to ask? But no, I still get those little red squiggly lines when I type our president's name? The powers that be don't offer such disrespect to "George" or "Bush"?? I think it's racist.

Guy Gorilla

When I was a kid - about Ari's age, I had a stuffed animal (gorilla) named "GUY". Apparently I took this thing everywhere . . . ya know, some (lesser) kids had blankees and sucked their thumb - I was more into tough-assed gorillas when I was younger. Well, I still have that stu . . . let me rephrase . . . Ari now has that same gorilla. The "Guy-Circle-of-Life" . . .

Pro-marriage speech garners professor's profane wrath

After being called a "fascist" by his professor, a Christian California student has filed suit against his college for violations of his free-speech rights.

Less than a month after voters in California decided to amend their state constitution and protect traditional marriage, Jonathan Lopez -- in a public speaking class -- shared his beliefs on faith and marriage. David French of the Alliance Defense Fund picks up the story.

"Jonathan talked about his faith -- and one of the things he talked about in context of his faith was...marriage," says French. "He read from the dictionary definition of marriage. The professor stopped the class, called him a 'fascist b_____d' -- [he] used the expletive -- [and] told the class that anyone who wanted to could leave if they were offended...."

According to an ADF press release, when no one got up to leave, the instructor simply dismissed the class, effectively ending Lopez's speech -- which violated the student's free-speech rights, adds the attorney, especially since other students made speeches on other subjects. Religious speech, notes French, apparently was excluded from the open-ended speech assignment.

speech"You just cannot shut down student speech like that," states French, who explains that Lopez was well within the confines of his professor's assignment, and that the professor's actions not only constitute viewpoint discrimination but also comprise "retaliation" because he disagreed with Lopez's religious beliefs.

According to the ADF attorney, the professor was not yet finished. "When [Lopez later] complained about what was an obvious act of censorship, he was threatened with expulsion by that same professor," he says.

The speech professor is identified as John Matteson of Los Angeles Community College. ADF reports that after Proposition 8 (the marriage-related constitutional amendment) was approved on November 4, Matteson told his entire class: "If you voted yes on Proposition 8, you are a fascist b_____d."

Ultimately Matteson refused to grade Lopez's November 24 speech, and wrote on the evaluation: "Ask God what your grade is."

(I think Matteson should ask God what HIS grade is?)

What’s wrong with the Cowboys?

Better, how do “we” fix ‘em? Not sure “we” can do anything, which is probably the main problem – “who” is in control of the fix . . . we all know there are major issues, below are a couple outlined, including a hint of a solution . . . IMO of course:
• Delete TO – do I really need to get involved with this one? If T Romo is our future, TO must be our past . . . he has never NOT compromised a relationship with a QB his entire time in the league . . . J Garcia, D McNabb & T Romo can’t ALL be bad?
• Delete Roy E Williams – seriously? This piece of work is already complaining about his situation! First of all, don’t complain about not getting the ball when you don’t even know your routes yet – anyone else watch this buffoon this season when he played for America’s Team? He obviously another cancer, similar to TO . . . JJ, make an example for once in your life!
• No more PACMANS! – overrated! overpaid! overhyped! What a waste – if he ever had talent, he left it in Tennessee, or maybe jail? Did anyone see it at the club? I know he got cut, but you neverrrr kknnnooowwww . . . keep him cut – JJ should’ve made an example IMMEDIATELY out of him, maybe they wouldn’t have such rampant issues if they had scared a little leadership into some of these buttholes.
• Get a coach with higher moral standards – oh yeah, and a larger sack.
• Get a GOAL – and make it be team-oriented . . . not personal, or anything regarding personnel! Make winning a priority, and anyone who is not on board goes bye bye.
Well, my finger is in rough shape, so typing is a pain – that’s all for now, even though we could go on forever regarding these turd-merchants.

PC Award

This is from an email I got from Ma - thanks, good one, short & sweet . . . and it didnt include any instructions on forwarding it to 376 left-handed Republican Scorpio-Alcoholics in Grand Rapids . . .

The following is the winning entry in an annual contest at Texas A&M University calling for the most appropriate definition of a contemporary term: This year's term was "Political Correctness".

The winner wrote:

"Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end."

CHRISTmas in NoDak

Spent this Christmas in Minot, North Dakota. It was quite a trip – the weather was pretty bitter, but one gets used to it after a short while . . . at least I did, but I’m a badass . . . it would probably be unbearable for a regular mortal from Arizona.
Ari had a great time – he was able to hang with the hundreds of cousins he’s got out there. He did get pretty ill for a stint, went to the hospital three times, admitted once. We ended up missing our flight back to the desert due to circumstances surrounding the hospital spell.
No matter what anyone says, watching a baby / infant / child / little kid / etc. get blood drawn or IV’d is never easy . . . especially when it’s your kiddo.
Brighter note – we were able to get a diagnosis. I joke, cause we’ve been ‘treating’ him here in the “big city” for half a year with no results . . . it took going to Minot, North Dakota (pretty small town considering) and getting seen by a doctor whose origins are from Africa (Dr. Udekwe) to get appropriate answers that would end up solving his condition, or giving us the answers to do so – treat it. Dr. Udekwe is a terrific physician and re-instilled hope regarding most medical staff for me (all Kolodny doctors aside of course). Jesus certainly works in mysterious ways . . . but He works.
Everyone else in NoDak is great. Rodeo’s house is very cabin-esque . . . its great, I dig it. Lori is keeping a tight ship at Hotel Mosser now located in beautiful South Hill. Vacation rates were great – in fact I think we walked away with our pockets loaded with cash (we need to vacation there more often – between them and my folks I don’t know why Amber or I work at all?). Beaver continues to buzz the tower of the local collection of craniums. He even gets some baldies in there . . . I saw a nice old feller stroll in for a ‘tighten-up’ . . . the chap looked like Captain Piccard from Star Trek for cryin out loud! I wanted to say “Dude, you know WE all know you’re bald, right? I mean, just by getting your “hair cut” isn’t fooling anybody?” I don’t know how Steve does it, but gets their arses in the seats, even if they’re bald apparently. The rest of the family is awesome . . . and the Strike is still the best place in town for Steve to buy you a beer.
I’ll put some pictures of the trip – or more recent pictures at least on this damned site.

You Gotta Love . . .

. . . how the press is covering the war in Israel. "Israeli forces bomb Palestinian schools!" . . . ummm, don't forget to mention that Hamas has been shooting Israeli soldiers FROM those schools and storing rockets IN them!!!! We expect Israel to act in some way WE WOULDN'T??? Why is it so bad for them to protect themselves?? Oh, and don't forget, Hamas / Palestinians shoot rockets into Israeli schools on a regular basis - but there's no coverage for that. Since the last "peace talks", over 7,000 rockets have been shot into Israel from Pale-crime, and when they have a big civilian kill, they dance and celebrate, filling 70,000 seat stadiums to reenact the horror . . . while Israel does it's best to eliminate all collateral damage. God help us if we don't back Israel 100%, and curse us if we turn our backs to them.
